How do I send money?
You can send money by going to the Send Money tab and following the instructions. You only need the email address of the recipient to execute the payment.
Please note: in order to send money, you need to have sufficient funds in your Moneybookers account to cover the payment.

Do I have to fund my account first before I can send payments?
Yes, you must fund your account first. The most common way to fund your account is via bank transfer:
Go to: ‘My Account’ > ‘Upload Funds’ > choose bank transfer as a payment method > enter the amount to be uploaded > You will be provided with bank details and your customer ID which is the reference for your transfer.
Now, you have to instruct your bank to process the transaction. Make sure to enter your customer ID in the reference field. If you do not want to fund your account via bank transfer, find here more supported payment methods.

Are there transaction limits?
Depending on your user status, there may be a transaction limit set on sending money. You may check the limit currently available to you at any time:
Go to: ‘My Account’ > ‘History’ > ‘View limits’.

How long does it take to send money?
Payments are made instantly but if the recipient is not yet a Moneybookers member he will be notified to first sign in at www.moneybookers.com to receive the payment.

Can I send money to someone who is not a Moneybooker member?
Yes, the recipient does not need to be a member at the time of sending the money but he needs to register at Moneybookers in order to collect the money sent to his email address.

Can I cancel a payment that I made?
If the transfer is still pending, you can cancel it at any time:
Go to: ‘My Account’ > ‘History’ > click cancel next to the respective pending transfer.
If the transfer is completed, Moneybookers cannot reverse the payment anymore. We recommend you contact the recipient directly and make arrangements for him to return the money to you.

What happens to payments that are not collected by the recipient?
It is our policy to cancel all transactions which remain unclaimed for more than 14 days and return the funds to the sender.

What does it cost to send money?
1% (up to ? 0.50) per Transfer

What exchange rates do you apply if I send money in another currency or to an account in another currency?
We believe in fair exchange rates. We use the daily reference rates as published by the European Central Bank. However, we apply in either direction a spread of 0.8% - this is not a hidden charge but a protection against the volatility and risk associated with FX markets. Our rates compare very favourably to those charged by banks and are superior to those of most money transmitters.

How does the standing order function work?
This service gives you maximum convenience if you regularly send payments to the same beneficiary with fixed monthly payment dates and amounts.
Go to: ‘Send Money’ > select check box ‘Schedule payments / standing order’ > follow the instructions.

Can I terminate a standing order?
Yes. At any time.
Go to: ‘My Account’ > ‘History’ > ’standing orders’ > click cancel next to the respective standing order.
