How to instruct a bank transfer to fund my Moneybookers account?
Step 1: Get the bank details for the transaction:
Go to: ‘My Account’ > ‘Upload Funds’ > choose bank transfer as a payment method > You will be provided with bank details.
Step 2: You need to submit these details to your bank and instruct it to transfer the funds to the bank account of Moneybookers. Please do not forget to state your customer ID in the reference field of the transaction. In case you can communicate with your bank via online banking, we recommend initiating the transfer directly online to speed up the payment process.
Step 3: The funds should be in your Moneybookers account a few days later.
Please note: we do NOT debit your bank account directly, you must instruct your bank yourself to do this transfer.

Can’t you just take the money from my bank account?
NO. When a customer requests to upload money to his/her Moneybookers account, we do NOT debit the respective bank account directly. Instead, the customer must instruct his bank himself to do this transfer to the bank details received when the upload was requested. After instructing the bank to execute the payment, the money should arrive within 2 to 4 days on the Moneybookers account.

My country is in the list of supported local payment methods - what does it mean?
Moneybookers is connected to the domestic payment network of all countries shown in the list of supported local payment methods. The respective methods of payment are shown by the icons (either domestic bank transfer or a cheque drawn on a bank in your country). The advantage for you: As domestic bank and cheque payments are mostly free of charge, you should have no or only very low costs to make a payment to Moneybookers. We therefore strongly advise you to choose a local payment method when you are offered so in the “deposit” section of your account.

How can I use a credit card to fund my Moneybookers account?
Step 1: Add your credit card to your account profile:
Go to: ‘My Account’ > ‘Profile’ > ‘List of Credit cards’ > ‘Manage’ > ‘Add’ > fill in the required information.
Step 2: On the same page you will be asked to complete our verification procedure. We will debit your credit/debit card for a small random amount (usually between EUR 1.01 and 2.99 depending on your account currency) after which you must check your card statement for the exact transaction amount and enter it into the ‘verify credit card’ section of your Moneybookers profile. Please note that you may have to wait some time for the debit to appear on your statement.
Upon completion, the transaction amount will be credited to your Moneybookers account and your card will be verified with the upload limit shown on screen.

How long does it take for a deposit to arrive?
Bank transfer: It usually takes 2-5 business days depending on your country of residence. If you are residing in a country covered by the Moneybookers’ banking network (domestic transfer), the transfer normally arrives in less than 3 business days.
Credit card: instantly
Cheque: up to 10 days

Are there any fees for uploading funds to my account?
Upload Money From Bank: FREE*
Upload Money From Credit Card: 2.5%*
Upload Money via Cheque: ? 0 - 0.50
*Additional fees charged by your bank or credit card issuer cannot be covered by Moneybookers.

Why are cash deposits and 3rd party uploads not allowed?
We display under ‘My Account’ > ‘Upload Funds’ > ‘bank transfer’ the bank details and payment reference required to fund your Moneybookers account.
You are attempting a strictly disallowed cash deposit if you go to the bank in person and deposit money in cash to our bank account.
You are attempting a strictly disallowed third party deposit if you ask someone else to transfer funds from his third party bank account to our bank account stating your User ID in the payment reference.
You will be charged all banking and administrative costs to return any such payment. Please understand that applicable anti-money laundering regulations do not allow us to make any exception from these rules.
ALL FUNDS MUST ORIGINATE FROM A BANK ACCOUNT HELD IN YOUR NAME!

What is considered a cash deposit?
A cash deposit is where you go to the bank in person and deposit money in cash into our bank account. Please note: Cash deposits are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN, i.e. Moneybookers cannot accept any deposits made in cash.

What is considered a third party deposit?
If we receive funds from any bank account in somebody else’s name with your Moneybookers ID stated in the reference field, it is considered a third party deposit. The same applies to deposits which originate from a company bank account for credit to a personal Moneybookers account and payments from a joint bank account, where your name is not shown as the account holder. Please note: Third party deposits are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN, i.e. Moneybookers cannot accept any deposits made to your Moneybookers account from a bank account held in a different name.

I want to use my company bank account for deposits to my personal Moneybookers account.
This is considered a dissallowed third party deposit. In order to deposit from your company bank account, you need to open a company account with Moneybookers in the same name as your company bank account.

My country is not in the list of supported local payment methods - can I still use Moneybookers services?
Yes. Your bank wire deposits/withdrawals will be processed as international transfers. Please be aware that it is a common practice that receiving banks charge additional fees for receiving international transfers and that those fees/charges are beyond Moneybookers’ control as they are imposed by the banks themselves. However, when sending transfers to our customers, Moneybookers always bears all charges for the sending bank, i.e. Moneybookers’ bank.

In which currency should I make a bank wire deposit?
To avoid currency exchange charges imposed by the banks, we strongly recommend that you send us the funds in the same currency in which Moneybookers’ bank account is held. The currency of Moneybookers’ bank accounts is displayed along with all other necessary details.
